Ramen Yah! in Iligan City, Philippines

We decided that we would like to have something different in Iligan City, that’s when the Lai of Pinay Travelista recommended that we dine at Ramen Yah! A Japanese Restaurant in Iligan City along the Highway of Tambo.

We asked the waitress what were their best sellers and they said that the Tonkotsu Ramen (149 Pesos). We ordered one to be shared, then we ordered another set of Bento – Tonkatsu Bento (199 Pesos) and Karaage Bento (179 Pesos). We also orderd California Maki (180 Pesos).

After around 10 minutes of waiting our orders arrived one by one. What I noticed is that they do not do false advertising. The food that we got was exactly how it looked like in their menu and in the posters that were around their restaurant. I like restaurants with integrity.

Tonkotsu Ramen

The Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious. It had a good amount of ingredients, especially the amount of Pork was generous. The broth soup was fairly rich that it does not go above or below the taste of the other ingredients.

Karaage Bento

I’m a big guy and I am proud that my appetite is proportional to my size. The Karaage Bento was just the right size for me.

I loved the chicken because they really prepared it well. It was well marinated and the flavor was absorbed well. The vegetables were also delicious and a lot. The rice was also how a cup of rice should be. The Tamago was good too.

Tonkatsu Bento

Same with the Karaage Bento, the Tonkatsu Bento was generous in size. It even has Japanese Dumplings on it, which was mildy spicily good.

The Breaded Pork Cutlets were well prepared and cooked. The sauce compliments well with the fried Breaded Pork Cutlets.

California Maki

The California Maki was one of the best I’ve tasted. Though it was a bit loose that we had a hard time picking it up. The wasabi was obviously not the wasabi I was used too as it was wet but it had a really good taste that compliments the California Maki.
