I never paid much attention to Heramis Lechon during my month long stay here in El Nido, Palawan since I know it would be too much to eat a whole roasted chicken. But after days and days of eating pork and fish, I was finally craving for chicken.
I went to Hermis Lechon thinking that I would end up eating a whole chicken. It turns out that they have meals with rice that is good for 1 person.
I ordered their Chicken Barbecue (75 Pesos/piece) and 2 cups of rice (15 Pesos/cup). And since I was in the mood for sugary drinks I also ordered coke in can (35 Pesos/can).

We were flying out of Cebu City after our almost 2 weeks of travel there. I was not expecting anything interesting to find at Mactan Airport predeparture area. I just needed a table and a seat for me to catch up with work while we wait for our flight.
It turns out that there are not many tables in Mactan Airport. Luckily, we saw another person who was on the seats and has a table. When I checked the table it turns out that Tablea Chocolate Cafe offers this. I needed to work so we went to the counter and we had to order something even if we are not looking for anything.
We asked the lady at the counter what was their best seller and she quickly pointed out to the sign in front of us. The sign says “Puto Maya with Fresh Mangoes with your choice of chocolate drink” for 135 Pesos per order. We decided that we will have that. That day we were not sure where we would go to sit down and spend time. We were planning to head to Gaisano Mall, but when we passed by Tedts Diner we decided to quickly try this place out due to friends highly recommending this place.
The store was renovated compared to the previous year that I have visited Iligan. It was now bigger and more spacious which is really good.
We ordered coffee (35 Pesos) and selected cupcakes from their many collections of yummy tasting cupcakes – Mango, Matcha and Dark Chocolate (25 Pesos/each). Continue reading Cupcakes and Coffee at Tedts’ Diner in Iligan City, Philippines
We decided that we would like to have something different in Iligan City, that’s when the Lai of Pinay Travelista recommended that we dine at Ramen Yah! A Japanese Restaurant in Iligan City along the Highway of Tambo.

Yesterday, since we just wanted to sit down and talk without eating much we decided to head to The Strip in Iligan City and order coffee and some small desserts in Faye’s.
We entered via the way inside The Strip. When we got to the end of the hall there were displays of bread and other pastries. Continue reading Brownies and Coffee at Faye’s in Iligan City, Philippines
Dunkin Donuts was the third food store we have been to here in Iligan last 2 nights ago because it was one of those 24 hours stores and we could extend our talk with friends.
I was not hungry. I did not want to eat. But I know that we had to order since it would be bad for us to use the establishment’s facilities without making them earn. So I was looking for something light and not sweet, and luckily Dunkin Donuts had Bunwich.
I originally ordered for a Chicken Salad Bunwich, unfortunately, they were out of stock. So I ordered the Tuna Salad Bunwich (60 Pesos) and an Orange Punch (30 Pesos) for a drink.
They prepared the order while I paid.
The Bunwich was wrapped which looks rather delicious looking.
But when I opened to see the Bunwich, the bread was already wrinkled which made my appetite neutral since I was not really hungry. Continue reading Tuna Salad Bunwich by Dunkin Donuts
Last night we were walking along Roxas Ave. at the corner of Aguinaldo Extension in Iligan City when we saw a restaurant with a bright light. It read Halal, we decided to check it out and entered the restaurant. Since we had dinner already, heavy food were not that appealing. Then we noticed a stall at the left corner which had beautiful tempting pictures of waffles, Famous Belgian Waffles.
When we approached the counter we saw a sign that says Tuna Garlic Ranch. It had 2 options: Cheddar Cheese (45 Pesos) or Cream Cheese (55 Pesos). We asked the lady inside the stall which was better and she confidently said Cream Cheese. That was what we ordered and their Boston Special Brew Iced Tea (45 Pesos). I knew that Iligan’s Lechon is one of the best in the country as we have had many lechon delivered to our house in Manila that was cooked on the same day in Iligan City. The effort and the price is worth it just to taste the deliciousness of Iligan’s Lechon in family and friends gatherings.
When I went to Iligan my friends told me that I should try the Weekend Night Market. At the Weekend Night Market I should try the Spicy Lechon.
I’m not really a fan of spicy food as I’m a pretty sweaty person. Since the Weekend Night Market actually happens to be at night and I know that my friends would not unfriend me if they saw how sweaty I can become I decided that we should give it a try. Continue reading Spicy Lechon at the Weekend Night Market of Iligan City, Philippines
I’ve been to Brews Almighty more than any coffee shop in Iligan City during my 20 day stay. I’m a online worker so I needed a fast and reliable internet and an available electric socket for me to be able to work efficiently and Brew’s Almighty has those. But let’s talk about more on their food and some drinks.
Here are some of the food and drinks we have tried during our multiple visits there.
Toffee Coffee (135 Pesos)
It was weirdly hot on my visit in Iligan City that is why I almost always both cold drinks and I liked the Toffee Coffee. It had the right amount of coffee and chocolate. Perfect for the hot weather. Continue reading Brews Almighty in Iligan City, Philippines
Since I was visiting Iligan, my uncle invited me to have dinner at B. Bu. Q. Barbecue Haus. I knew Iligan knows how to cook up good food and even when we were kids I’ve already loved the taste of barbecue being sold on the side streets of Iligan City.
When I got to B. Bu. Q. in Quezon Ave. Extension I was glad that it was a decent looking open-air restaurant. The smell is as good and smokey as a barbecue shop gets. Continue reading B.Bu.Q Barbecue Haus in Quezon Ave. Extension, Iligan City, Philippines
